Service Description

Building directly on the fundamentals established in our introductory cleaning course, this intensive 8-hour clinic is designed for serious shooters who want to fully understand and optimize their 1911 and 2011 platforms. Moving beyond the basic field strip, this course introduces the advanced techniques required to completely detail strip, diagnose, and tune your modular handgun. Whether you are running a high-round-count competition gun or a dedicated duty platform, you will leave with the knowledge to keep your equipment running at peak performance without relying on outside maintenance. What You Will Learn Complete Detail Stripping: Step-by-step guidance on full disassembly and reassembly of the frame and slide, far beyond a standard field strip. Deep Component Cleaning: Techniques for addressing carbon buildup in the extractor channel, firing pin channel, and trigger group after high-round-count usage. Recoil & Mainspring Tuning: Understanding spring weights, replacement schedules, and how to tune your springs to specific ammunition loads for optimal recoil management and dot tracking. Extractor Diagnostics & Tensioning: How to test, adjust, and maintain extractor tension to guarantee flawless feeding and ejection reliability. Trigger Group Mechanics: A deep dive into the sear, disconnector, and hammer interface to maintain a crisp, consistent break while ensuring drop-safe reliability. Wear Pattern Analysis: How to inspect critical components (like the slide stop and barrel link) to identify normal wear versus parts that require immediate replacement.
