Thinking about trying a shooting competition—but not sure where to start? This session is designed to take the mystery out of pistol competition and give you a clear, approachable path forward. Whether you’ve been curious for a while or just want to understand what it’s all about, this is your chance to step into it with confidence. We’ll walk through the different types of pistol competitions, how matches are structured, what to expect on match day, and how scoring works. You’ll learn the language, the flow, and the unwritten rules that make everything feel less overwhelming and more manageable. But this isn’t just a talk. We’ll take what you learn and bring it to life on the range, where you’ll have the opportunity to shoot simplified stages in a supportive, no-pressure environment. This gives you a feel for movement, stage planning, and shooting under a bit of structure—without the stress of your first official match. And don’t worry about having all the “right” gear. If you have equipment, bring what you have. If you don’t, we’ll make sure you’re able to participate. This is about learning the process—not having a perfect setup. Bring at least 100 rounds of ammo or be prepared to purchase ammo on site. This session is about building understanding, reducing hesitation, and helping you take that first step. Because competition isn’t just for “advanced shooters.” It’s one of the fastest ways to grow your skills, build confidence, and have a whole lot of fun doing it.
