Service Description

This course satisfies all of the requirements for Maryland's Handgun Permit Course. This training is required as part of the application to obtain a permit to carry a handgun in Maryland. THIS BOOKING IS FOR A PRIVATE OR SMALL GROUP SESSION. PLEASE EMAIL US TO SET THIS UP, This course is 16 hours over two days in the classroom and on the range. Students will leave with an understanding of the following: - Specific Maryland Firearms Laws - State and Federal Laws pertaining to - Self Defense - Defense of Others - Defense of Property - Safe storage of firearms - Surrendering, transferring and/or disposed of firearms - Reporting loss or stolen firearms - Banned and special permit required firearms and accessories - Safe Gun Handling Rules - Handgun Parts and Operation - Conflict De-escalation and Resolution - Dealing with Anger Management Issues - Suicide Prevention - Ammunition knowledge and selection - Cleaning and Maintenance - Holster selection - Application requirements - Mindset - Situational awareness - Use of Deadly Force What is included: Ear and Eye Protection Ammo Use of firearm (if needed) Private Range Session for Discretion Live Fire Session requirements: - Demonstrate Safety principals - Demonstrate Marksmanship Skills Students must shoot a qualification course of fire and received 70% or higher to qualify. * Note this course is broken up over 2 days i.e.- 8 hours each day. *Participants who successfully complete this training will receive a Maryland Handgun Permit training completion sheet. This course also meets and exceeds the requirements for the Maryland HQL (Handgun Qualification License) which you are required to have in order to purchase a handgun in Maryland. HQL training certification is also included in this course. *Participants who successfully complete this training will also qualify for their Pennsylvania, Florida, Virginia and Arizona handgun permit.
